Two hectic weeks packed with workshops, seminars, screenings, international guests, culminating with the complete shooting of ten short films on 35mm stock: all of this is the 2019 Edition of Terre di Cinema – International Cinematographers Days, Italy’s main event dedicated to the art and craft of cinematography. Taking place from September 14th to 25th in the breathtaking scenarios of the town of Catania, in between Mount Etna and the pristine sandy beaches of Eastern Sicily, TDC will welcome in its residential CineCampus a selection of 30 young filmmakers – directors and camera persons – from all over the world who will enjoy the unique chance of shooting their films on film, thanks to the support of TDC Main
Technical Partners: Kodak Motion Picture Film, Cooke Optics, Panalight and ADCOM. TDC19 will also celebrate the achievements in the industry of distinguished filmmakers such as British cult director Julien Temple and award winning cinematographer Matyas Erdely HSC among the others. Since it’s creation in 2011 – under the direction of Vincenzo Condorelli AIC and the guidance of Honorary Chairman Luciano Tovoli AIC, ASC – TDC has been realised in partnership with AIC – the Italian Society of Cinematographers – and Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Italy’s national film school. The Academic partnership also includes Narafi – Luca School of Arts (Belgium), and Universidade Lusofona (Portugal).
