The 8th IMAGO/FNF Oslo Digital Cinema Conference 2023

The Norwegian Society of Cinematographers FNF will together with IMAGO, the Danish Society of Cinematographers DFF and the Swedish Society of Cinematographers FSF, arrange the 2023 Oslo Digital Cinema Conference 16th to 18th June 2023.
Nearly thirty topics will be on the program, and a main focus in ODCC 2023 will be Virtual Production/Volume led, pros and cons. The Conference has been arranged bi-annually since 2006 and has become one of the most popular conferences for cinematographers to discuss new equipment, new production solutions, to exchange knowledge and experience and to network. Close to 200 Nordic and international cinematographers will attend to learn about new cameras, lenses, lights and newproduction equipment and production tools, and to discuss common challenges. In addition to technical sessions and discussions, there will also be master-classes with award-winning and internationally renowned cinematographers.
Both Greig Fraser ASC ACS and Eben Bolter BSC will be in Oslo to hold master classes, Ebenfocusing on the HBO series “The last of us”, how virtual production was used to create surroundings. “The last of us” is the video game which turned into an acclaimed tv-series.
Greig Fraser will be in Oslo to share experiences from Award-winning films like “The Batman”, “The Mandalorian”, “Dune” and Lion, to mention a few. John Christian Rosenlund FNF will have a master class focusing on the production “A rare grand alignment”, a feature shot almost entirely with volume led at the FireFrame studio in Helsinki. ARRI virtual solutions and Dave Stump ASC who both played a central part in the production will attend the masterclass to talk about the challenges form their perspective.
And as usual, social happenings will also this year be a central part of the conference, with dinners and parties useful for networking and continuing the discussions and talks that has been initiated in the conference program sessions.
