Right after the summer is up IMAGO will be back to its activities beginning to be present in Amsterdam at the IBC exhibition show. The IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) in Amsterdam, is the largest equipment and company exhibition in Europe paralleling with NBA Las Vegas in strength and size. The exhibition will be held in 13 to 17 of September. Along with the companies’ stands there are several conferences and presentations about the last innovations in the trade. The exhibition has an average of 50000 attendees. IMAGO won’t be present with a stand but IMAGO representatives will be visiting our sponsors and promote meetings in arranging the next season activities of the International Federation. The event takes place as usual at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Manaki Brothers Film Festival-Bitola Republique of North Macedonia: The oldest festival dedicated to cinematographers and cinematography will be celebrating this year its 40th anniversary. IMAGO is proud to be part of the festivities and it will be arranged several associative activities like the board meeting and one more Balkan Conference initiated a few years ago by our former president Nigel Walters. Imago will be well represented (for their 40th anniversary) and IMAGO will held an important board meeting at the Manaki Festival in Bitola (Sept 14th to 22nd) by reuniting several elements from different countries for the meeting and to join the celebrations.
Camerimage is back to Torun where have begun in 1992 the same of IMAGO creation. The Festival has grown considerably since passing. It was held in other cities Lodz, Bydgoszcz and now returns to its original place and home of the Tumult Foundation which is the organization behind the Festival. IMAGO has been a partner since the beginning and this year will be no exception. In recent years IMAGO has joined ASC for panel discussions about the trade and Inclusion and Diversity issues. The festival will be held from 9 to 16 of November.
International Digital Cinema Conference in Oslo on October 18th -20th
The Digital cinema Conference is again back for one more edition. Three days of technical presentations, revelations of new technique and a lot more will be centered in three days. The event will be held in the same place as usual at the Cinematheque in Oslo – Norway. Any company interested in revealing technical presentations and discuss with the attendees should contact our president Paul René Roestad- who is once again in charge of this event.
The Imago General Assembly and the Imago International Awards Ceremony are scheduled in Brussels on March 12th-13th-14th, 2020.
Together with this festive events, Imago-SBC are planning to organize an exhibition of equipment where all our partners, Local and International, will be able have a booth and display. The schedule of this IMAGO/SBC CINE EXPO will be Friday 13th (12-22h) and Saturday 14th(10-17h).
IMAGO AWARDS
To all societies submissions will open in November 1st and deadline is 15th of December. Films eligible are those screened in 2018/2019. One film only per society is allowed to enter.
