EURO CINE 2025 was a great success for the Symposium and of course for the two IMAGO committees: Education (IEC) and Technical (ITC). This year’s exhibition was less well attended due to the crisis in the German film industry.
The IMAGO Education Committee was represented by Marijke Van Kets (SBC) and its session “Envisioning Cinematography Education: Crafting the Future” attracted a large audience.
The IMAGO Technical Committee was represented by many members and all the co-chairs and organised eleven panels and conferences with the valuable help of new participants from many countries.
We will soon be giving full details, reports and presentations with recordings of many of the sessions.
This year we’ve had time to debrief, and one of the ITC’s quick conclusions was to give the event even greater prominence. We’re discovering new technologies and new manufacturers, but thanks to Claire and Rob Saunders, the people behind EURO CINE, we have a great, great opportunity. Not only do we get to take part in a major symposium, but we also get to embark on a great human adventure to learn, share knowledge and create an international network.
Claire and Rob have decided that the 2026 session will take place in a different European capital – which one?
Suspense!
