For the third year running the IMAGO TC (ITC) has been invited by Rob and Claire Saunders to the Euro Cine Expo in Munich at the end of June.
Rob and Claire have been successfully managing and organizing the BSC Expo on behalf of the British Society of Cinematographers for some 20+ years.
The International manufacturing community approached Rob and Claire some years ago to create a dedicated and focused event in Munich. The objective being to deliver an event in early summer that would not conflict with the IBC show in mid-September, that would avoid the Oktoberfest and would offer a cost effective and focused trade show and conference with a fresh Euro centric approach and International appeal.
Euro Cine Expo was launched in January 2020 however unfortunately the following months the pandemic took hold and it was impossible to host the inaugural event.

The first event took place in 2022 with great support from industry both Nationally and Internationally. Over the past 2 years and now in its 3rd edition Rob & Claire and the Expo in general have built strong partnerships with many other associations, societies and media partners in the USA, UK, Spain, and Germany. Amongst the many media supporters Cinematography World magazine (a long-standing friend of the ITC) has been the expo’s official media partner since it has a unique offering of a truly global outreach.
This year’s Euro Cine Expo will once again be held at Motorworld, north of Munich, a recently restructured space for lovers of the driving culture. However, over and above this it provides a very unique backdrop which is ideal for the creative industry which we all work in. The spaces being used this year of the Zenith, The Kohlebunker and the Dampfdom provide a mix of industrial and modern architecture which is a great setting for showcasing the new equipment.

Euro Cine Expo in Munich, Germany gives the community of cinematography a new opportunity to design a less expensive, more cinematography focused event. IBC and NAB are strong international shows, but they are very diverse in focus and feature a very wide variety of products and interests across many markets.
Cinematographers are a community that deserves a different approach, that’s why the Micro Salons (France, Italy, Spain), BSC Expo and now Euro Cine Expo are successful and so well supported.
This year, Rob and Claire gave two full days to the ITC which decided to share this great opportunity with the IMAGO Education Committee (IEC) and the CITO, research group which has launched the international Cinematography Journal, platform for sharing knowledge on cinematography.
The ITC has also invited the ICLS (International Cinema Lighting Society) for a special panel with famous international gaffers on LEDs and The Solid State Lighting Index.
Together the committees will be presenting a diverse program of 17 conferences and panels, highlighting the strong link between the ITC, Euro Cine Expo, and Cinematography World magazine. Three presentation rooms will be dedicated to high end technical hands-on and discussions with international speakers: directors, actors, colourists, gaffers, scientists and of course cinematographers coming from more than 12 countries.
The ITC wants to thank Euro Cine Expo for their hard work and help in organizing our program as well the precious help of the BVK (German association of cinematographers) to find participants. As in the previous two years, we will also have the pleasure of working with John Daly, BSC in charge of the technical supervision of all the sessions.
The ITC and the IEC will be presenting seminars on many subjects from
