We’re very sad to report the news that Steven Manios Sr. has passed away at the age of 82. 

The founder of Century Precision Optics, his career in Hollywood spanned five decades, resulting in numerous optical devices that became standard equipment in film and television production.​ His groundbreaking & inspirational work in camera optics will live on.

A longtime ASC associate member, Steven died on January 3rd from complications caused by COVID-19. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.
