Since October 2023, the CST (French Technical Commission for Image and Sound) conducted a series of tests on LED projectors during an event called “A bright LED day”.

With the help of rental facility TRANSPA, we conducted tests on 12 different LED projectors : ARRI SKYPANEL X (DOME & HYPER), NANLUX EVOKE 900 CRGBLAC, KINOFLO FREESTYLE 21, DEDOLIGHT DLED7 NEO C, DEDOLIGHT DLED9 BI NEO+, KELVIN EPOS 300, ELATION KL PROFILE, K5600 ALPHA 300 LED, PROLIGHTS ECLFRESNEL CT+MIP, CREAMSOURCE VORTEX8, RUBY LIGHT BOA V.2 120 DMX and ROSCO DMG MAXI MIX.

For each of them, we measured and compared Color temperature, Correlated color temperature provided by the LED (CCT K), x, y coordinates (CIE 1931 2°) and Spectral Similarity Index (SSI) with both laboratory instrument (JETI) and field instruments (Sekonic & Gossen).
