The ACS held its 2020 AGM online this weekend via Zoom. This year’s meeting took place on Sunday following the successful ACS National Awards for Cinematography, which were also held via the video conferencing platform.
The AGM addressed a range of items including the potential sale of the ACS’s National Headquarters with the view of enabling the society to find premises that will enable them to offer more diverse usable spaces and facilities for their members.
The success and reputation of AC Magazine, ongoing efforts to improve gender parity within the society and the importance of the wellbeing of their valued sponsors in the current economic climate were also discussed as part of the agenda.
Ron Johanson OAM ACS Re-Elected
This year’s AGM also saw Ron Johanson OAM ACS re-elected as National President, a role that he has held now for 13 years. Ernie Clark ACS – also in the position for 13 years – was re-elected as Vice President along with Erika Addis from Queensland who’s now in her third year.

Mylene Ludgate was re-elected as National Treasurer, with Ernie Clark ACS as her Assistant. Calvin Gardiner ACS stood down as National Secretary with Ben Allan ACS elected as the new National Secretary and Velinda Wardell ACS continuing as Assistant Secretary.
The ACS continues to grow and to foster and support their members & industry, whenever and wherever possible. In compliance with current restrictions on travel and face-to-face meetings, this support will continue via Zoom and Skype.
