Cinematography - Oscar Nominees

IMAGO would like to congratulate all cinematographers for their nominations for the next Academy Awards for Best cinematography. The year of 2017 registers an historical mark by nominating for the very first time a female cinematographer Rachel Morrison ASC for her work in «Mudbound». The other three nominations include IMAGO members, from the Netherlands Hoyte Van Hoytema, ASC, FSF, NSC for "Dunkirk", Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC for "Blade runner 2049" and Dan Laustsen, ASC, DFF for "The Shape of Water". Another curiosity is the fact that none of these nominated cinematographers have yet not got an academy award. Two of them are already nominated for a few times, like Bruno Delbonnel, ASC, AFC nominated for the 5th time this year for "Darkest Hour" and Roger Deakins BSC ASC who is nominated for the 14th time. Is it this year for Roger? No matter who gets the statuette IMAGO would like to congratulate these talented cinematographers for their outstanding work.
